Sorry you have to deal with this. I'm not Jewish, but today someone responded to a twitter reply of mine with some antisemitic hatred. It's everywhere right now. Need to stand up and fight back.

Thank you for continuing to write about these topics Lauren and for sharing your personal experience. I have many jewish clients and they are struggling..on such a deep, deep level. However, their transgenerational trauma has created such a deep strength and resolve, it's mind blowing. Thank you again for speaking up.

I've never heard a positive about intergenerational trauma, but I like this. Thank you.

That anybody is targeted by antisemitism, racism, misogyny, or threats to their sexuality is not ok. Too many people have suffered. Enough.

I’m so sorry you were threatened. Even on a screen, it’s hard to brush off. It’s scary. Nobody should have to live like this.

I understand that you feel as though a factual statement has made you more vulnerable, but every Wikipedia page that I've read notes the religious upbringing or identity of its subject, unless that information is unknown. Perhaps your challenging experiences with the public has made you more cautious, but it seems there are more direct ways to target someone than a statement of fact on Wikipedia. Other readers may disagree with my thoughts.

I randomly just pulled up two pages of two NYT reporters: James Barron and Dan Barry. No religion. And from what I'm seeing otherwise, pages seem to mention if someone is Jewish or Muslim. Not Christian.

I was going to comment on that entire post but it's not worth the energy. Such absolute ignorance.

I pulled up Chuck Todd before hitting send on my previous response. He is described as 'Jewish', and raised 'Jewish'. As I noted, there is no comment if the information is unknown.

Have you found any "Christians"? Also, "identifies as" is pointed since I do not, publicly. I know you think it's fine, but with the amount of antisemitism I get, it's not. Not for me.

Joy Reid: raised 'Methodist'. It's not a question of thinking it's fine or not fine, it's a statement of fact not a slur. At any rate, you feel how you feel. I merely wanted to state that there might no tg be a malevolent intent behind a statement of fact. I wish you well.
