Dr Steven Hassan the cult expert was invited to Russia after the end of the Cold War to educate the Russians about cults because they were afraid the influx of western civilization would bring cults and mind control to Russia. He said that his education kinda helped them make the connection between cult mind control and the Russian propaganda they’ve been living under for decades-but not quite 🙄
This is a defensive posture to establish a pretext to justify extreme measures against “compromised security forces” or the general population that no longer demonstrate sufficient adherence to the regime.
