I don't know if you've chosen a new underreported story, but the loss of democratic tenets has been wildly neglected. The complacency across so much of this country betrays both deep cynicism and an inability to comprehend the impact of an unending loss of liberties. Americans have ignored both historical fascism and the degradations imposed by dictators in the 21 century. Someone needs to tell the story of what we're about to face.
