Hello everyone,
Just a quick note of apology for the radio silence. I’ve been down with either the flu or Covid, just in time to miss speaking at a journalism conference at Sciences Po in Paris. With a booster scheduled for yesterday (then canceled because you are not supposed to get one while sick), I really thought life was getting a little bit back to normal. I was so looking forward to being among my colleagues again, discussing the state of journalism, my passion. But such is life in the time of Covid.
I’m getting a PCR test tomorrow so will know for sure what’s going on. Regardless, while being sick like this sucks, I’m going to be fine, having had my two shots, unlike so many others.
I’d say hug each other every day, but that is just not the right thing to say in this awful pandemic. Elbow bumps to all.
Warmly (and with a bit of fever),
Lauren
Virtual hugs to you, Lauren! I'm not sure whether to call us your fans or followers, but thank you of thinking of us all the same. God bless for all you do!
Speedy speedy recovery! If there is ANY positive aspect to this, at least you didn’t come down with this in France.
Would like to send soup, do you have a fave place that delivers I can call to issue a gift certificate?
